Ana Mercado is the T Visa Supervisor at James Immigration Law. Born and raised in Montería, Colombia, she moved to Barranquilla to study and graduated as a Psychologist from Universidad del Norte in 2022. She later earned a Master’s in Legal and Forensic Psychology from Universidad CES in Medellín in 2024. Ana has worked on projects supporting women who were victims of domestic violence and completed an internship at the Fiscalía General de la Nación, where she assisted children who were victims of sexual abuse. She is fluent in English and Spanish. She joined the T Visa team as a case manager in 2023, quickly forming a strong connection to immigration work and the clients she served. Her dedication and passion led to her promotion to Supervisor, where she now supports and mentors her team as they assist individuals who have experienced significant trauma. Drawing on her background, Ana is committed to compassionate, client-centered advocacy, ensuring both her team and the people they serve feel empowered and supported.
