Gisella Turbay
Gisella Turbay is a Document Specialist on the T Visa team. She works closely with clients in the early stages of their case, helping gather their personal stories and essential documents.
Originally from Barranquilla, Gisella is a licensed attorney with a degree from Universidad Autónoma del Caribe. Her passion for helping others and creating opportunities for a better future led her to the field of immigration.

Laura Roberto
Laura Roberto is a Document Specialist at James Immigration Law. She is responsible for gathering, organizing, and translating the information required to ensure that the cases handled by the firm are supported by a solid foundation.
Laura is an attorney who graduated from Universidad La Gran Colombia, which has allowed her to engage in the field of immigration law with a strong sense of responsibility and ethics, while deeply understanding the situation and needs of our clients.
She believes that her role enables her to contribute meaningfully to the success of each case, always keeping in mind the importance of showing our clients the value we place on the trust they put in us—to help them continue building the life they deserve.

Antonella Bramon
Antonella Bramón, a native of Peru, holds a Bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpreting from Ricardo Palma University in Lima, Peru. She began her journey at James Immigration Law as an administrative assistant, where she supported various office functions. With time and dedication, she transitioned into the role of Records Specialist and currently serves as a Document Specialist on the T- Visa team.
In her current role, Antonella supports the first stage of each client’s case by collecting documentation, conducting intake calls, and gathering detailed information necessary for completing immigration forms. She also assists with translations and coordinates with courts and agencies to obtain key records.
Antonella is motivated by the desire to help families who are seeking safety and opportunity. She believes that James Immigration Law offers critical support to those navigating difficult circumstances and is proud to be part of a team that makes a meaningful difference.

Alejandra Mendez
Alejandra Méndez is a Document Specialist at James Immigration Law, where she is part of the T Visa team. Ms. Méndez was born in Bogotá, Colombia, and has roots in Santander. She holds a Psychology degree from Universidad de los Andes, with minors in Sociology, Public Administration, and Law. She also holds diplomas in Corporal Psychology, Praxis, and Psychopolitical Liberation from ALFEPSI—a Latin American network focused on psychosocial health and social justice—and in Humanitarian Diplomacy from the International Center for Interdisciplinary Studies, with an emphasis on conflict resolution in emergency contexts.
Before joining James Immigration Law, Ms. Méndez gained experience supporting victims of Colombia’s armed conflict, working in transitional justice processes, and contributing to community-based projects centered on human rights and psychosocial well-being.
Guided by an interdisciplinary background and a strong commitment to human rights, Ms. Méndez brings a holistic perspective to her work in immigration law and humanitarian service. Her work is driven by a deep dedication to defending the rights and dignity of those affected by violence and inequality.

Deisy Giraldo
Deisy Giraldo is a Document Specialist at James Immigration Law. She collects and organizes supporting documents, translates, and maintains clear communication with clients throughout their immigration processes.
She is an attorney, holding a law degree from the Universidad Luis Amigo. Her legal training allows her to approach each case with a deep understanding of its context and requirements, adding value to the firm’s work from behind the scenes.
Deisy was drawn to immigration law by a strong sense of justice and a desire to support individuals navigating life-changing legal challenges. She is committed to making clients feel heard, respected, and supported.

Alejandro Narvaez
Alejandro Narvaez is a Document Specialist in the Family & Humanitarian Team, where he provides the first legal support for developing well-planned cases for clients.
He holds a bachelor's degree in law from Universidad Externado de Colombia. He has developed his career in human rights, working in governmental organizations, ONG’s, and law firms.
He is focused on continuing to grow in the humanitarian field, working hard to fly as high as possible. Alejandro considers that he wakes up daily to achieve his goals with the people who really need our help.

Julian Cortes
Julián Felipe Cortés Ussa is an intake specialist at James Immigration Law. His experience in immigration affairs and background in U.S. Immigration support and contribute to all stages of the process, giving new perspectives on Client's lives. As a paralegal, he supports the mission of the law firm.
He holds a bachelor's degree in law from Rosario’s College in Colombia, emphasizing State, Public Power, and public policies, and an honorable mention in the Law Clinic from the same College.
His perspective consists of helping the most vulnerable population in all the legal affairs that he works on. He is always trying to help and impact other people’s lives to change their reality and find justice in the way they think it is.

Juan Pablo Moreno
Pablo Moreno is a Document Specialist at James Immigration Law, where he brings his technical skills and background in criminal justice to support the firm’s mission. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from Icesi University. His commitment to immigrant communities grew out of his college research, which focused on how vulnerable populations process loss and make meaning from their experiences. Pablo is continually inspired by the dedication his coworkers show in every case.
He brings over three years of experience working on a wide range of cases, including removal defense and humanitarian relief. This work has taught him the importance of attention to detail and deepened his passion for supporting clients through complex legal processes.

Melina Patino
Melina Patiño is part of the receptionist team at the firm, where she answers calls and directs them to the appropriate departments. In this role, she supports daily operations and helps ensure communication flows smoothly across the team. Born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, she worked as an interpreter for four years, focusing on workers’ compensation cases. During that time, she assisted immigrant workers by interpreting at medical appointments, hearings, with insurance companies, and other related processes. Through this experience, she developed a growing interest in immigration related work and decided to explore roles beyond interpretation. She hopes to continue learning and expanding her expertise in areas connected to immigration and public services.
