Yubia Wilkinson is a Partner and Director of Legal Services at James Immigration Law. Her practice focuses on providing clarity, protection, and strong advocacy to immigrant individuals and families facing a complex system, accompanying them with honesty, respect, and a deep dedication to service.
Yubia decided to dedicate herself to immigration law after witnessing firsthand the injustices that many immigrants face daily. She understood the importance of defending their rights and offering not only legal guidance, but also a voice and a safe space within a system that can often feel overwhelming and unfair.
Her motivation stems from the desire to help people find stability, opportunities, and dignity, accompanying them through one of the most important processes of their lives.
She speaks English and Spanish fluently, and has conversational French, which allows her to connect with clients from different cultural backgrounds.
Education and Experience
Yubia is licensed by the Ohio Supreme Court.
She earned her LL.M. in U.S. and Global Legal Studies, graduating with honors, from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
She is a member of AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association) and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA).
She has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Immigration Law in Ohio & Kentucky in 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
