Ana Mercado is the T Visa Supervisor at James Immigration Law. Born and raised in Montería, Colombia, she moved to Barranquilla to study and graduated as a Psychologist from Universidad del Norte in 2022. She later earned a Master’s in Legal and Forensic Psychology from Universidad CES in Medellín in 2024. Ana has worked on projects supporting women who were victims of domestic violence and completed an internship at the Fiscalía General de la Nación, where she assisted children who were victims of sexual abuse. She is fluent in English and Spanish. She joined the T Visa team as a case manager in 2023, quickly forming a strong connection to immigration work and the clients she served. Her dedication and passion led to her promotion to Supervisor, where she now supports and mentors her team as they assist individuals who have experienced significant trauma. Drawing on her background, Ana is committed to compassionate, client-centered advocacy, ensuring both her team and the people they serve feel empowered and supported.

Andrea Melo Barrera is a Declaration Specialist at James Immigration Law, where she contributes her clinical and forensic psychology expertise to support individuals through sensitive and often traumatic immigration processes. She conducts trauma-informed interviews to understand each story from the client’s lived experience and collaborates with the legal team to build individualized legal arguments with clarity and care. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and a specialization and Master’s in Legal and Forensic Psychology from Universidad Santo Tomás. She has completed diplomas in forensic psychopathology, criminal law, and child sexual abuse, as well as advanced training in psychological interviewing and therapeutic interventions at Universidad de los Andes. Andrea has worked with survivors of armed conflict, sexual violence, displacement, and human trafficking, supporting individuals across all age groups. She is deeply committed to helping vulnerable populations through psychological support and meaningful legal processes. Inspired by her immigrant relatives, she brings empathy, active listening, and compassion to her role, creating a safe space where people feel heard, understood, and empowered. "

Antonella Bramón, a native of Peru, holds a Bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpreting from Ricardo Palma University in Lima, Peru. She began her journey at James Immigration Law as an administrative assistant, where she supported various office functions. With time and dedication, she transitioned into the role of Records Specialist and currently serves as a Document Specialist on the T- Visa team.

In her current role, Antonella supports the first stage of each client’s case by collecting documentation, conducting intake calls, and gathering detailed information necessary for completing immigration forms. She also assists with translations and coordinates with courts and agencies to obtain key records.

Antonella is motivated by the desire to help families who are seeking safety and opportunity. She believes that James Immigration Law offers critical support to those navigating difficult circumstances and is proud to be part of a team that makes a meaningful difference.

Anyelo Giraldo is a Legal Assistant on the Removal team at James Immigration Law. He has nearly four years of experience in the immigration field, where he has had the opportunity to work in various areas that have allowed him to help many clients pursue their dreams. Anyelo believes that each client has a unique story and a personal reason for moving forward, which motivates him every day to work in the Removal department. Brian Vargas is a HubSpot Specialist at James Immigration Law, where he leads the implementation and optimization of CRM systems to strengthen operational, commercial and service efficiency. He studied Marketing at Universidad Santo Tomás and has more than ten years of experience collaborating with technology and services companies in Latin America and the United States. Throughout his career, he has managed Revenue Ops operations, led Customer Success processes, and led business automation and digital transformation initiatives for multicultural and remote teams. He is certified in over 30 areas of the HubSpot ecosystem. His passion for technology was born out of a desire to solve complex problems with scalable solutions that positively impact people.
