She provides not only legal knowledge, but clarity, direction, and deep empathy drawn from her own experience immigrating from Chingola, Zambia to the U.S. at age 12\u2014a process that took over a decade to gain permanent residency.\nAkshita earned her J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law in 2016. She began practicing immigration law in 2015, founding her own firm focused on removal defense and Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) cases.
